B.Ed (Hons.) MA Ed Man., BA (Hons.) Fine Art
Contemporary Fine Artist
How lucky am I? I get to earn my living by drawing, painting and making stuff - mostly a mess, as paint and turps, plaster and glue fly everywhere in my eagerness to create.
I used to have a real job, a 25 year teaching career in Primary and Special schools, before I managed to escape my headteacher’s job in 2005.
I then studied for my Fine Art Degree and am now a freelance exhibiting artist. I work extensively as artist in residence in schools, manage community arts projects and run classes and workshops for adults.
I am co-proprietor of Ribble Valley Art Studios in Clitheroe.
I work quickly and often frenetically, making drawings and paintings representing people and place. I love to explore colour and light, and have become increasingly interested in capturing brief moments in a swiftly moving world through drawn line. I like my work to suggest movement and drama.
Why not have a look at what I have to offer?
