Work in Schools

Bespoke Projects

Since leaving my post as Primary Headteacher in 2004 I have worked extensively in schools across the North of England, providing art workshops and residencies both as long term projects and single days.

I work with schools to develop individually designed creative programmes to meet their specific needs and requirements for art projects. This can be drawing, painting, print making, sculpture and textiles. Sessions always include guidance for teachers on taking the work forward after I leave, including tips and techniques for useful progression.

I also provide staff training sessions to help schools develop their Art curriculum or teachers improve their skills.

Much of my recent work has been painting murals in several Oldham schools, working with children as artists and designers in many phases of the work.
